Rental Terms
All vehicle rentals require acceptance of a comprehensive Rental Agreement, provided at the time of booking or when collecting your vehicle. This agreement outlines specific terms, conditions, insurance coverage, fees, and your obligations associated with the rental. In case of any discrepancies between these Terms and the Rental Agreement, the Rental Agreement will take precedence.
Eligibility Criteria
Vehicle Rental Requirements
- To rent a vehicle from our Bletchley location, drivers must be at least 21 years old, although age restrictions may vary depending on the vehicle type, with potential additional fees for those under 25. A valid driving license, appropriate for the vehicle class, must be held for the duration specified in the Rental Agreement. Renters are also required to present valid identification and proof of address. Payment details and a security deposit are necessary to complete the transaction. Booking and Payment Options
- Reservations can be made through our website, by telephone, or directly at our Bletchley office. A deposit may be necessary to confirm your booking. Full payment, along with a security deposit, is usually required at the time of vehicle pickup. All prices are listed in British Pounds (£) and include VAT where applicable. We accept major credit and debit cards, processed securely by trusted payment providers.
Vehicle Pickup and Drop-off
- At the time of vehicle collection, it is your responsibility to conduct a thorough inspection and report any pre-existing damage without delay. A vehicle condition report will be completed and signed to document this assessment. Please return the vehicle in the same condition it was collected, accounting for normal wear and tear. Any new damage will be evaluated and charged accordingly. Ensure that the vehicle is returned with the same fuel level as at collection; refueling fees will apply if the fuel level is lower. Late returns may incur additional charges, so contact us as soon as possible if you anticipate returning the vehicle late. You will be liable for any parking fines, traffic violations, or related charges incurred during the rental period, in addition to an administrative fee.
5. Liability and Insurance
- All rentals from Car Hire in Bletchley come with basic third-party insurance included. For complete coverage details and excess amounts, refer to your Rental Agreement. Additional insurance options may be available to help minimize your financial liability. It is recommended to review these options carefully. You will be responsible for any damage or loss up to the excess amount unless covered by extra insurance. Damage resulting from negligence, misuse, or violations of these Terms remains your responsibility, regardless of insurance coverage.
6. Modifications and Cancellations
Cancellation and modification terms depend on the type of booking and the notice period provided. For precise information, please consult your booking confirmation or Rental Agreement. Cancellations made without adequate notice or failure to show up may incur additional fees.

- The vehicle must not be used for any illegal activities, including racing or off-road driving. Transporting hazardous materials is strictly prohibited. Sub-letting or allowing unauthorized drivers is not allowed. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is forbidden. Ensure that the vehicle is used within its designated purpose and that passenger and weight limits are adhered to. Driving outside the agreed geographical area requires prior authorization.
Non-compliance may lead to rental termination and extra fees.
8. Liability Limits
To the fullest extent allowed by English and Welsh law, Car Hire Bletchley accepts no responsibility for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or business, resulting from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claims will not exceed the rental amount paid in the last 12 months. This limitation does not affect liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or fraud.
9. Legal Framework
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be resolved exclusively within the jurisdiction of their courts.
